ambermonk
Sweet. I haven't heard much Ochre to be honest, but I heard a couple of his tunes in the mid-2000s.Listened to the first three tracks of this album so far. Might download later. Enjoying "David Elsewhere", and it's awesome Ochre named the track after that orange-sweatered dancer who stole the Kollaboration show in 2001. Actually he dedicated another song to David Elsewhere called "Analady". I guess you couldn't tell by the music or title but he mentioned this on em411 around 2005 or so. Dale
Amazing release - full of lush melodies. Ochre ought to be on Warp. Poimandres
At first I wasn't so sure about this release, thinking it didn't hit me in quite the same way as Lemodie or Like Dust Of The Balance. But after a few weeks with it, I think it's yet another stellar album from Ochre! Guest bitroast
Had the same^ reaction to Like Dust. I like moments of that but still not completely sold. This new has clicked straight away though:) (Midsummer nice dream > Like Dust, btw. Just sayin' :)) Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/77105-ochre-national-ignition/page/2/#findComment-1951091 Share on other sites
Poimandres
For a long time I thought Mid Summer was my favourite release of his, but then I listened to it after a long break and getting deep into Lemodie and Like Dust and was surprised to find I now preferred those releases! I guess it's something of an Ochre cycle for me. Guest bitroast
Lemodie is my favourite I'd say. It's so.. Flawless and pretty^^ Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/77105-ochre-national-ignition/page/2/#findComment-1951140 Share on other sites
lumpenprol
same, I love Lemodie. It's funny how Ochre's track titles often strike me as pretentious and/or twee, but his songs are anything but. Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide lumpenprol's signature Hide all signatures After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside. - lost cloud I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work! So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces. -organized confused project Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/77105-ochre-national-ignition/page/2/#findComment-1951330 Share on other sites
Guest facades
I loved Lemodie and Mid Summer, but I was somehow a bit disappointed with Like Dust... This new one is really excellent. I was kind of impressed on first listen, and it's still growing.
