Sorry for the new thread, but I wanted to start a poll...

Just interested in how many people have gone for physical copies of the new album, given that bleep are stressing the quality of the digital files available, and that they are free to download when you buy a CD / vinyl copy.

Would people just pay for the WAVs? Or would the free digital files encourage people to go for vinyl and then burn your own CD?

*note*

Wanted to add a "I will illegally download this and not pay for it" category but thought that would be too controversial...

Personally, I have pre-ordered the vinyl and CD. I have gone to lengths at home to set my decks up with soundsystem for optimum vinyl experience (sofa in the correct stereo position, fridge nearby) so am very much looking forward to this. Just need to train a monkey to turn records over....

I always go for CD (still) to "complete my collection" but also because I still listen to a lot of CDs in the house and in my car.

To me, the WAVs and MP3s are just a bonus. I am sure I will soon start to use these more when I upgrade my PC next.

I've pre ordered the CD and vinyl, because I'm such a douche. But I'll likely download the digital copies because it's easier and listen to them.

Viny l>technics sl 1800> kef speakers/bk subwoofer>sony qs series amp

wav files >pc>clementine player>external soundcard>kef speakers>old pioneer amp

The fridge is between the two rooms

Most of the bitches on the boat couldnt handle their set it was too complex for them they had to jump overboard.

I'll smoke a nice joint, maybe have a beer and then go for a drive out in the boonies and blast it loudly.

I still don't know whether I should (finally) get a turntable exclusively for Exai or just go as always and buy the standard CD...Or both. Please doctor help me.

First of all, I'm definitely not waiting for the official release. I've pre-ordered, so morally I'm as impeccable as the losers who will wait.

Third: this album cover comes to mind

only digital, leak if it comes first and wavs or flacs when released, will listen thru a pc with a decent soundcard and good headphones. i'll most probably buy it legally.

I'm not questioning your right to I just don't want to see you all be disappointed when you finally hear it.

There will be new love from the ashes of us.

There's no way the album could possibly be bad in any way. It's the best album of Autechre's career so far. I'm giving it a pre-emptive 11/10 score.

Absolute perfection.

Life changing even.

It's like a journey.

mp3s on my way to work, in headphones.

Vinyl at my friend's house, on his Technics turntable with highly worn needle for extra grittiness. I don't particularly care for pristine clean sounds. I've only ever listened to the Oversteps WAV files once.
