Scuze me tumblr guys i gotta question

is there a way to control what gets posted on yer dash? Specifically, I follow some dudes who reblog cool stuff, but it's like 50+ times a day & it's drowning out everyone else I follow on there. Is there a way to limit the amount of content I see from a person without unfollowing them entirely?

(maybe something like soundcloud, where it'll go "dude x has uploaded 47,000 trax this week, & only show you the most recent few)

The only thing so far I know is the "ignore" button, but actually, as the name says, it erases all posts from that blog on your dashboard, so maybe you don't want that.
