Drane2 wins for me though. All of the pretty melodies bouncing around everywhere, and eventually locking into that amazing swing.

Drane 2 has the most beautiful and evocative melodies Ae probably ever crafted, but Nuane taken in its entirety is better, so much groove, it sums up the Chiastic Slide's funk pretty well !

I noticed how important closing songs in Ae albums are when I realized that I never really "got" or liked the albums with shitty closers (Amber, Tri Rep..)

I don't mind TearTear but my US version has always had a gap of silence in the track. Not sure if that's present in all versions. It made me hate the track and life itself.

I always thought the gap was intentional.

I really don't know. But I think it's like some long-running joke that the US mastering (or whatever you call it) had this flaw, and no-one ever brought it to their attention. I bought two copies of the disk and they both had it...

does this have it? I didn't hear it, but the quality is kinda bad...

no, not the silence at the beginning dummy. They may have fixed it now but for years on the US release (can't speak for any other release) there was a gap of silence in the *middle* of the track. I'm pretty sure it was unintentional but could be wrong. It drove me up the walls, waiting for that silence to wreck the flow of the track.
