Okay, I'll give it to you that clotted cream and jam is the way it SHOULD be done. However if it's between a buttery and a dry scone, then a buttery scone is acceptable. It's also acceptable if you're on a budget too / not of a social status which can be seen enjoying cream teas.

scones aren't biscuits, don't be ridiculous

 

biscuits are way lighter, not generally made with any sugar (as a good number of scones are), and they are always served hot

 

like fiz said, don't knock em till youve tried them. biscuits and gravy are godly.

I know at this point I have been pretty much proven wrong by everyone in this thread and I'll accept that there's no way I can successfully redeem myself from this hole that I have dug for myself. I apologise for both my ignorance and cultural insensitivity . However I still think the idea of pouring gravy over anything vaguely resembling a scone is an atrocity. Disagree and I'll have to retort to using Godwins in a last ditch attempt to save any possible credibility I may have here.

KFC is not widespread in Germany and of no particular interest.

I don't eat non-free range chicken for a start, but I certainly don't eat anything sold as chicken that probably contains about 2% actual chicken.

The worst thing about KFC food will undoubtedly be the insane amounts of inflammatory polyunsaturate fats present in their cooking oils and other dishes, just like any other fast food.
The chicken is certainly real chicken, just heavily breaded and (pressure?) fried.

He puts an addictive chemical in his chicken that makes ya crave it fortnightly, smartarse!

Southern-style "sawmill" gravy has to look disgusting to be good. And it is good. It has chunks of sausage in it, and a milk/flour base. It's obviously terrible for you. Keltoi, you are Scottish, do not even pretend you don't want that.

The whole "chickens without feathers and beaks and feet" urban legend has been around for ages. I remember reading about it in a zine 15 years ago. I don't eat there now because I'm vegan, but I used to love mixing my coleslaw and mashed potatoes together, which is pretty vile.

Another KFC urban legend I heard is that hobos eat free at KFC because Col. Sanders used to be a trainhopper himself. I've never looked into the veracity of this and choose to believe it's gospel truth.

Just had me some KFC yesterday! had that boneless chicken that they're advertising lately. I like to eat the chicken above the mashed taters and let some of the breading fall on it... then I get crunchy suprises when I eat the mashed taters!
