you mean C&C: the First Decade? it had everything from 1 to Zero hour. now they have the Ultimate collection (key download) that also includes all that and everything from Tiberium Wars to Tiberian Twilight.

and since we're talking about it, just so you know someone else has bought the rights to C&C again (that makes it the 4th handoff lol). the next one is going to be a 3rd General's type one.

I played C&C the original, Red Alert (easily played this the most), Tiberian Sun, and Red Alert 2

My dad had a few expansion packs beyond Counterstrike including bootleg ones he picked up while deployed in Thailand and Indonesia. I should find them and check them out - they had like dozens of "bonus maps" or something.

if you stumble across anything as playable as red alert two and tiberium sun, put me onto it. any c+c later than that was complete shite for me.

honestly, i love em all. the only one i hated was 4. the fact that they got rid of base building really pissed me off.

i really liked Generals, it was a nice break from the main series. and i believe Red Alert 3 was pretty good. and i really liked 3, though that could just because i loved that Kane was back. lol so id say try them. but really Red Alert 2, imo, was the best C&C game of them all.

yep. fantastiche, as they say in france.

The original Command&Conquer was the most gloated over game of my life. First, I didn't have a pc to play it on, then it didn't work (the dos days when cd-rom was a weird thing) and then it worked but bad because my pc was slow. Still it did and I was so happy.

Red alert was awesome, Tiberian sun less and I didn't feel like I should check out anything beyond that. Also, then I began Starcraft.

www.petergaber.com is where I keep my paintings. I used to have a kinky tumblr, but it exploded.

I agree with almost everything you said, except two things. Ugly, I'd rather say different and minimal. And accomplishment, that I feel strongly in Minecraft. But this a subjective thing.

Sometimes I wish I thought like you and din't waste a 1000 hours playing a cube-moving game :)

Mh, it does looks pretty nasty to me. I don't mind the minimalistic looks, but the colors they chose, they're so ... MS Paint standard palette. My personal 4 Bit Nightmare! Like the old Lemmings game. I liked that game though!

And it seems I'm just not very prone to those kinds of concepts. I also dislike games that involve leveling up. Even the weapon upgrade system in Dead Space put me off, and that was moronically easy to understand! Just the fact that it was there annoyed me. I did play a couple of the Final Fantasies, even, but that aspect I never enjoyed. The absolute worst and most unappealing game for me is of course World of Warcraft. I don't get what keeps people hooked - a girl in my former school had met all of her boyfriends over WoW (and there was a bunch of them, like 17 different guys) - and I kid you not, she was the most good looking girl of the entire school. She was a tall redhead with the prettiest face and natural D-cups! Yet she chose to spent her quality-time with her partner by going on "raids" with them or whatever they're called.

However, I AM a bit of a nerd after all, as I did create some nightmarishly difficult Super Mario World hack (Super Riddlediculous World) that's been called worse than Kaizo Mario.

well it does take place in Japan so there is the culture factor, but its straight up ghosts. nothing like the girl from The Ring or cat boy from Grudge. more like the creatures from Silent Hill but see through. also you cant directly see the ghosts, you can only see them through your camera. its very dark, fucks with your brain, and you never feel at ease. and for what its worth Fatal Frame 2 is considered by many to be one of the scariest games ever made.

theyre on the PS2.

Sounds good, I shall get them then (at some point, I just started Abe's Exoddus on PS1 over again!)

How are the more recent Fatal Frames, 3 and 4?
