Analogue Bubblebath and SAW 85-92 are the style of tracks that got me really into Aphex as well, but I love the drilly RDJ/Drukqs stuff too.

75% sounds a bit more melancholy, I suppose it's the pitches of the notes compared to 66%

 

Greats songs sound so wonderful and oddly fresh slowed down. Makes hearing the new one a little bit jarring though. Anytime I've listened to DJ Screw and then heard the original song it almost sounds "too fast."

Personally, the tracks I choose to introduce people to AFX is usually his Caustic Window cuts.

 

"Humanoid Must Not Escape" and "Fantasia" are perfect introductory experiences.

 

I can't believe I'm the only one pointing out these obvious choices.
