Anyone listened to the new Kavinsky album? What a joke, can't believe we've waited all these years for that.

Was that some kind of tricky question?

Alas, apart from The Year of Magical Thinking which can be easily found on YT, nothing shines like the 2 tracks already mentioned.

Ceephax definitely has some good, 80s-inspired moments. You probably knew that by now.

If you didn't, check out Ceeland.

Apparently, he's got a new release coming soon. From his Facebook page:

"Day two of filming for the video. This time back in Tokyo at a beautiful church in Bunkyo-ku. The priest was very generous to us in giving permission to film there, and even let us use the pipe organ. Also, artwork for the new release is done-- will be post that up here, as well as more details soon."

Such a disappointment. I realized my favorite tracks were the ones he'd already released half a decade ago on the 1986 EP, and he didn't even update them for this album. And the production on the new stuff was just.. uninspired

Com Truise?

Also, Purity Ring and oOoOO are probably the most skilled producers of non-Instrumental neo-80s synth-pop weirdnesses! Check them out if you don't know them already.

I don't know what it is but I really can't get enough of this 80's retro/synth/chillwave (or whatever) recently, I guess I've been taking my music tastes a little too seriously of late.

This new Lazerhawk sounds pretty cool.

lazerhawks and a couple of the goons doing this kind of retro chillwave revival are also involved in the soundtracking of this documentary
