Darkroom Sound-Design?

Okay got it to work, it goes kinda nicely with the music. I wonder whether the ultra-slow moans might still trigger some subconscious archetypal pattern recognition... would be awesome.

i think it might be cool to play single high pitched continuous tones at varying volumes like when you get a hearing test, but in a darkroom with other people.

plus maybe going minimal will compliment the over-the-top antics of the other stuff.

Perhaps.... I've got a nightvision camcorder, maybe I should bring it?

I'm actually more interested in recording the main floor though, as (hopefully) there will be an 80 minute porno-music and -video-mix playing in there that I've been working on these past couple of days. It's a lot of 80s or 80s-inspired dance-friendly "sexy tunes" (The Egyptian Lover, Miss Kittin etc), with some Synth-Pop and "Witch House" towards the end (Holy Other and the likes), accompanied by some cheesy vintage 80s porn (mostly)...

I wanna upload it to the streaming porn sites and post this here but I'm not sure whether it would comply with the new testament of watmm.

Thanks for the offer feltcher, I'll keep it in mind for when the video is released! - I'm not 100% satisfied with the video though.

Party is over, guess what happened? - I kept checking back on the "Darkroom" around 9 p.m. when the party started - people would enter occasionally, stand there for 10 seconds and wander back out again. Then my set+video was playing on the main floor and I didn't check back on the room for a couple of hours.

Around 1 a.m., the darkroom had turned into a chillout-weed-lounge riddled with pseudo-philosophical party-conversations (I recorded some of it) - Lustmord and the lush Dub-Techno stuff must have attracted the stoners.

All in all, the party was nice but rather tame. It was probably so over-sexualized with all the rubber dolls and sex toys dangling about that it ended up being taken ironically by most guests, understandably. My set was kind of successful I guess, but I got cut off two tracks before the finish cause the live-DJ had an urge to put his own stuff on to get more people dancing (which he didn't really succeed at) ... but I admit I (purposely) included some rather serious tracks towards the end of my set...

Oh and that brush-up-the-ass-performance was rather lame, she didn't really "paint" a picture, she just scribbled some lines on the floor ... as was the other one (a girl with a strap-on taped to her forehead dildo'ed a girl in a wheelchair ... for about two minutes )

Anyway, here's a short video I made walking around the building.

(You can hear Lustmord and the beginnings of "deep conversation" when I'm approaching the Darkroom about 3 minutes in... it's German though, obviously.)
