and you are simplifying my issue here too, and it seems intentional. it's not that i'm heated about it, it's that i'm 'arguing' it as an example of part of what i was saying about how the real science behind stuff is repackaged/reframed into these stupid comparisons/metaphors that are clearly designed to trigger emotions from laypeople, and are meaningless. i've said this a thousand times already, tired of repeating it again and again, etc etc

 

why can't either of you just look this issue up? seriously. actually spend a bit of time googling and you will find plenty of people explaining why the % dna common is bullshit. i've already gave specific reasons but you've both ignored them. why should i continue replying if you ignore 99% of what i say.

I wanted to clear up the human/chimp/mouse issue first, but I don't see the point in continuing to engage with someone who purposely uses falsehoods in their argument, and then just brushes it off. can you blame me for assuming you must have a misunderstanding of phylogeny when you make a statement like that?

My theory is that MisterE doesn't believe in evolution and doesn't like the implications of shared DNA.
