electronic music has infinite potential and the hip thing right now is to make your songs sound 20-30 years old. yawn.

I'd agree with you, but I'd be contradicting myself, considering the amount of time I spend making my music sound like it was made in the 70s/80s

Nah, my stuff isn't the 'cool' kind of 70s/80s throwback. My 70s stuff sounds like Genesis and my 80s stuff sounds like.. er.. Genesis.. as opposed to sounding like Hall & Oates or whoever the cool kids are ripping off these days.
