what is µ-Ziq's strength

so he is up against some good artists in these here subforums. hes probably not as good as any of them but that doesnt mean he is bad. i think what makes him good is that he has a good ear for melodies and layering them over each other (e.g. Catkin and Teasel) but then he usually puts a grossly inadequate electronic music beat over it and ruins it all but otherwise - yes.

mu-ziq's strength imho is tango n vectif.

Definitely his melodies, although there is some brilliant rhythm programming (esp on Lunatic Harness)

try listening to beaver (kid spatula) it starts off so well then this horrid beat comes in and its like yuck.

i quite liike a few tracks on the gary moscheles album, but it's patchy at best.

i do happen to love mike and rich ekt though... fucking brilliant abum.

afx does mysterious and sinister quite well, i think mu-ziq pulls off a wider range of feelings in his tracks though

his melodies are kinda strange, very harmonic but seemingly not related to any kind of "classic" harmony theory or something... its like when you lock a talented young man alonewith a keyboard in a room for a couple of weeks who hasn`t played an instrument in his life

It's the complete package of his sounds, melodies and feeling that makes his music so fucking good. People who fail to recognize his awesomeness are stupid.

his strength is his use of string arangements, his meloncholy, in the earlier days his use of harsh and soft sounds together

his weakness is his lack of new releases
