It's an awesome couple compilations but all songs aren't by Jodey Kendrick.

They're either collabs with richy rich or some tracks solely by him.

I first listened to these compilations a couple days ago and could instantly tell which tracks were aphex.

 

I don't think anybody who's listened to a lot of Aphex twin and Rephlex stuff could possibly get on board with this theory because as Grant has said 'use your ears'. Although Grant has also lied and said the Tuss and Steinvord are not RDJ projects when they clearly are.

Jodey Kendrick is very good at doing tracks in an RDJ style but none of them actually sound as technically and musically accomplished as any of the RDJ tracks he's trying to evoke, that alone tells me they aren't aphex. Even the dark sort of a-melodic stuff on Steinvord has more aphexy vibes to it and it's almost totally devoid of traditional melodies.

they don't sound like Drukqs b-sides to me, they sound like someone with modern software centric tools has done a very good job evoking the same stye. The only real Drukqs b-side that exists is the Steinvord track Untitled on the myspace page. Stylistically the EDM B2 stuff fits but production wise it's very far off the mark. There isn't a lick of the unique way Aphex processes things happening, instead there are much more familiar 'glitch' sounds and fills. Aphex (and Steinvord) are fond of their speciality spectral glitch/time stretching effect, which zero of this has. To me that alone is a dead giveaway it's not aphex, he just wouldn't do glitching in a way that's not uniquely him. Even on Death Fuck his newest proven drill song, it's just beyond pretty much anything else out there. All im saying is it's not aphex twin

 

 

I'd argue that there are a load of stylistic similarities to a lot of Tuss/Analord material in a heck of a lot of these tunes - enough for me to toy with the idea that some/all of these could well be the man himself. To dismiss them as not being Aphex purely on the fact that they don't sound identical production-wise to other Aphex would be a bit short sighted in my opinion. I agree that perhaps they sounds a bit more software/digital orientated but who's to say that ol' Richard wouldn't dabble with that sort of stuff?

I just don't think he can be eliminated from having at least contributed a few tracks to these CDs.

Funnily enough, even some of the songs marked as being by "J.K." don't sound like Kendrick. Why would they put J.K. and not Jodey Kendrick? Just cleverly disguising the songs is all.

You can even hear the big ole bouncy gx1 style keyboarding in some of the Heidi lord songs, a-la the tuss.

Also... Heidi Lord?

And the track "I'm unemployed" sounds very much like AFX and is a play on "I'm self employed".

I'm guessing this is partially why theres so much deception/mystery to the release itself, a-la the tuss, steinvord etc. If it actually was just Jodey Kendrick wouldn't he be taking all the credit?

What other releases in recent times other than steinvord and the tuss have had this air of mystery and turned out to NOT be aphex twin in some roundabout way?

Pretty amazing run by JK going on here, though. The dude has released, what… 5 discs of mostly amazing tracks in the last 2 years? I'm still waiting for my copy of B2, but A2 is easily one of my records of the year so far.

Mine finally arrived today. I'm only two tunes in and my jaw has hit the table. Simply stunning. So far following in the footsteps of the first release, which is also an absolute belter.

Heidi Lord may be a real person but can you confirm all of the tracks credited to her are composed by Heidi Lord? I don't really know.. but I do know that Anna Lord was a real person too which proves absolutely nothing at all, see:

How did you find this video ? I think there's a slight chance you uploaded it yourself : first, you post the Richard Branson/Windowlicker shop, then the Aphex Remote Orchestra recording, then you post this track in this thread, wich i think must be a Jodey Kendrick track (listen to those synths and the overall production), and it's only your 6th post.

Conclusion : you must be Jodey Kendrick.

Besides that, this Fluskings track is flusking good.
