Rarest/most valuable record/cassette/cd that you own?

My rarest and most valuable:

Atoms for Peace - Judge Jury and Executioner 12" limited edition of 100 had screened cover

Currently there are only two on ebay, with a Buy It Now price of $375 and $449.99. There were a few auctions going in the weeks following the release and I think the highest I saw was in the $500 range. Wonder what I could get for it now.

I should get into buying and selling vinyl, I'd make a mint.

I presume most of you would too. As we have our fingers (mostly) on the button.

I'm actually starting to buy and sell vintage stereo gear a lot instead for that reason, I don't find myself as attached to components as I do with releases.

Analord binder, Quaristice 2CD, a few Hafler trio rare releases, Kafkatrax/Rückverzauberung4, the Touch30 usbs which are pretty recent but in very limited supplies and a bunch of Emeralds/M.McGuire cdr-tapes. Among the rare stuff i got, i'm kinda happy that i found 2 recent releases : the Mika Vainio CD on Atak & this silent austrian DVD with a new score by Pita. Both sounds truly good, were not expensive but kinda hard to find.

After what he did to the reissue of Pretty Hate Machine, I wouldn't touch any reissues of his with a bargepole from now on.

the reissue of Pretty Hate Machine is brickwalled to fuck.

Trent didn't have anything to do with that reissue, which wasn't a remaster. Just label bullshit. https://twitter.com/trent_reznor/status/91521769332154368

rarest:

BOC - Aquarius 7"

BOC - MHTRTC 10" promo - allegedly 200 copies, but I don't believe that, as I only paid maybe $30 for it about 8 or 9 years ago.

The Mars Volta - Frances the Mute ltd 4LP - 500 copies allegedly

most valuable, in addition to the above:

The Mars Volta - Frances the Mute 3LP, Deloused in the Comatorium

Analord binder

All BOC vinyl except The Campfire Headphase

Aphex Twin - Drukqs non-ltd pressing

Mogwai - Happy Songs For Happy People

Telefon Tel Aviv - Fahrenheit Fair Enough original pressing - seems to go for a lot?

At the Drive In - Relationship of Command original pressing, although was just reissued for RSD so not worth half of what it was.

Nah, there was an actual remaster in 2010:

Hmm. I haven't looked into it really. But maybe my original first pressing of Sgt. Pepper's. And of course the burial/massive attack one is worth something.

Stereo/mono? I only bothered picking up their first pressings in Mono, the only way to listen to them imho.

Nice. But I think one of my coolest ones is the original Uriah Heep - Look at yourself 12" with the mirror on the front :D

Ah OK. I stand corrected. Nevertheless, with all this PHM chat, I feel obliged to re-post the following image:

I took a look at your collection NF, amazing! We have a very similar taste :D

It's not bad for a year's worth, heh. I started off buying rare stuff, but I've been focusing on new releases for the past couple of months (unless I have a special reason to shell out).

Have you got a Discogs?

No, I haven't had the chance to inventory my collection because it is spread out over 3 cities :\

Whoa! How did you manage that? Parents etc?

I can't believe this image is still online, I've moved ISPs twice yet this still seems to be on my webspace. Whichever one is the most rare of these -

Hey, I've got that Warp Sampler. It introduced me to The Gasman.

Not sure if they're rare but i fond them hard to find at one point...

Feed Me Weird Things on Vinyl

Buzz Caner on Vinyl and ....

It took me years finding this but eventually discovered it in a shop in Sydney on a year out in 2006.

A Clockwork Orange Soundtrack on vinyl.......

Yeah it's a really good collection of tracks. It's weird though, that's Warpmart Issue 1 and then there's Warpmart Mix001 (that's the one you can see in the small white cloth bag - http://www.discogs.com/Various-Warp-Mart-Mix-001/release/311782 ) though neither of them have any Warp based artists on them. Plus as far as I'm aware there was never a second release of either, the naming seemed to imply there would've been multiple editions

Then there was the Warp Sampler (the one in the black card sleeve - http://www.discogs.com/Various-WARP-Sampler/release/614530 ) that again seemed to be a one off thing

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

According to Discogs this is the rarest record in my collection : (this is not the most valuable)aphex_twin-come_to_daddy-promo_2x12_inch

I also have records like Hangable Auto Bulb 2, Drukqs, Tri Repetae, The Unknown Aquazone or Hi-Scores from BoC which are pretty hard to find at a good price now, but that's it.

I have the V/Vm's Whine and Missingtoe 7". Limited to 500 according to discogs. I guess that's the rarest.

BTW, there are hand written seasons greetings from "Andy + James Age 8 1/10" inside. I'm guessing that's James Kirby and Andy McGregor. I don't know if that makes it any rarer or more valuable.

electro mini-album Megacity Rainfall
"cacas in igne, heus"  - Emperor Nero, AD 64

Rarest I suppose would be yuk's ADWA cassette from My Hollow Drum. Mine is numbered 7/100, though I do have a handful of other limited run cassette releases.

Another item of interest I have and was curious about is the picture sleeve of Tom Jenkinson - Bubble & Squeak, the one that looks like this:

tom_jenkinson-bubble_squeak_e.p..jpg

Discogs says 200 pressings of this came in limited yellow hand drawn silk screened sleeves. The rest were in generic gray die-cut sleeves. Later pressings had decent picture sleeves." Makes me wonder how many there are - anyone else got one?
