Are there tracks that took you 30 odd listens to appreciate?

Life is too short my friend. Either something grabs me or it doesn't.

I'm not sure I'd ever get 30 odd listens into something I didn't care for. Why would you do that other than social pressure?

No 30 seems a little high for my tolerance - for me I'd put it to somewhere under 10

Yeah same here, I kind of feel like he meant more broadly - 10 listens, or maybe trying an album again months or years later.

for me, definitely jazz. I still know I havent even begin to grasp at the power of some jazz
