Yeah, that seems to be a trademark of many reversed BoC tracks, the percussion being the main element that sounds noticeably different.

It was a mostly descriptive review which is all i would want from a one time listen. At the very least, it makes me want to hear this a million times more now.

nah, i listened to it several times. yeah there are elements of geogaddi (unsettling chord/ambient wafts/drone), and the drum quality/programming recalls christ. (somewhat). i found the ambient washes sort of tired/cliched, the way the track grows and 'fills out' recalls TCH, for me. it sounds really polished, like TCH. knight rider melody's cool, i suppose.

but it sounds fresh... at least it sounded more humid the eighth time around.

let's get our pitchforks and run this monster out of town.

I was skeptical of this initially, but I think you're right. The more I listen, the better it gets. :)

 

The progression in the last minute or so is particularly heart-wrenching.

 

I wonder how it does that ... seems to be a similar experience for most of us, "Well this is pretty neat!" on the first listen, "OMG Emotion" after multiple listens ... odd!

I literally listened to this all day at work today. On my crappy ear buds that came with the original gameboy.

So much quality in this track. Definitely single material. Lots of details.
