i don't think she's being sarcastic at all. I wish I was into a band enough to draw connections like that. I'm a fanboy but not that big of one unfortunately. And wasn't it Sean Booth who said that Xltronic was the masculine forum while Watmm is the feminine forum? What does that make Twoism? From Hoodie's post i'd say that they have a healthy level of femininity that maybe only a woman can articulate.

And my first instinct was to post "we should send them a wickerman made out of our hair clippings" on that thread, but then I thought who am I to cast stones at this point? It's earnest to an embarrassing degree and just plain weird, yes, but if there were ever a brief window where twoism should get a free pass to act like complete maniacs it's right now. I don't know what's more pathetic, this thread which sole purpose is to mock the dedicated boc forum Twoism by using stupid generalization along the way or the actual thread at Twoism itself which I also feel is just a little bit too much but not to the point where I feel it's necessary (if ever) to make fun of it or make death wishes to the thread starter.

 

In the end we are all fans of this very special band and by having sites like twoism, bocpages and watmm we express our gratitude.

 

I think it's very childish behavior to keep having these Twoism vs WATMM fights.

The Aphex Twin phanbois on this board, are just as bad (if not worse) as Twoism's BoC phanbois.

Also, there are a lot of jokes in the Aphex Twin subforum disguised as rampant fanboyism, and not so many overzealous emotional outpourings. Not that I care about the twoism stuff. I don't, but I wanted to clear that up.
