So apparently Amanda Bynes is wandering around the streets of Buffalo NY claiming that she isn't in Buffalo NY. I fully understand why she wouldn't want to admit to being in Buffalo, but this morning I've managed to get sucked in to the world of TMZ because of this. I am not really familiar with Amanda Bynes, other than she used to be a star when she was a kid on the Disney Channel, was on a sitcom and in some terrible movies about teenage love etc. But she used to look like this:

I always thought she looked slightly like Lion lady, even before the crazy. Now I see that she is Lion Lady, and Lion Lady had come back in time, as punishment for, and warning of, a horror yet to be committed. My god, why does she do? What does she do?

Never heard of her until about a week ago. I'm reliably informed that she's an idiot. But seeing this I mostly feel sorry for her.

I just really am curious about why she is in Buffalo. This place is no man's land. According to TMZ, she has visited a local trampoline gym. My interest is purely based on her proximity to me at this point. *reads a tabloid*

I didn't believe it back in the day but all this crazy behavior just screams help me, I'm trapped in eyes wide shut/sleeping beauty!!!

I was really saddened by this and then I realized I confused her with Michelle Trachtenberg...

Nonetheless, it's still very sad to watch someone go off the rails, I really hope she gets her life together. There was a point I was sure Britney Spears was about to implode and she got her shit together, so there's hope.

yeah, i kinda thought shed be one of them that broke outta the kid stuff and go on to be a pretty good actress as she got older. but crappy show after show and the bad movies, along with this kinda stuff; its like she hit a wall (which is actually possible at this point) and never recovered.

i think you can see the crazy in her eyes from the start, it just finally overcame her. I'm guessing incipient schizophrenia. Sucks to be her, hope she gets help before she does something reckless.

I grew up watching Amanda as well. She wasn't on the Disney channel actually, but got her start on All That on Nickelodeon and due to her success on there gained her own show, The Amanda Show, which was very very widely watched by kids of my generation. She was cute, articulate, funny, and seemed to have it going on for her. She even transitioned into having her own sitcom and started to appear in movies a few years back looking quite well in her young adulthood, but JESUS FUCKING CHRIST WHAT HAPPENED CHILD!?

She was on Nickelodeon. Though Nick seemingly has a better track record than Disney (and I thought they had better programming in the 90s overall). I lot more of the kids from Nick either quietly exited acting or they found steady work elsewhere.
