Good luck!

But you hated all those 6 years? WTF!? What are you going to do with your degree? Practice accounting, or something? Or will you rise to ultimate fame by setting up THE "nice tits" page?

I'm just not an academic by heart. Some of it was alright. I loved it when I had to think of a creative solution to something, build something, make a sound design, or something. But the thing is, I know what I'm good at and no thesis or paper saying that I studied for 5/6 years is ever going to prove that.

congratulations on your fine achievement

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Sounds like it would be pretty fun to work on. Good luck with defending it :)

The inevitable question is now: could you post a recording of this generative system?

That's the beauty of it... I don't even have to defend it :) I'm fucking done!

Yeah, sure thing... the setup is very similar to Steve Reich's "It's Gonna Rain", but I'll make a recording of it this weekend :)

if you were thinking about going further, the MA thesis in the large run is just a practice run for a dissertation/publications....if anything you could expand on your MA topic for your PhD run. Trust me, you get a lot better.

To me, the master's thesis is basically a test as to whether you can maintain your focus on a rigorous academic subject for a long period of time, vs. a term paper which is done over the semester.

Exactly... and I can't/couldn't :)

I'm still hung up on the afrikaans part? Why again? I thought you were danish? in london?
