I want him to release an ochestral album drenched in deep fried acid and sick gnarley drums ricocheting over the top.

Like a savage rave, on savage drugs at sunset at the gates of Hell.

Fucking A

Insha'Allah

going off math here, richard is due for at least 8 more volumes of SAW...

Given that SAW came out in 92, and SAW II came out in 94, if he had stayed at the same rate of creating ambient material, (which he probably actually increased, given the fact that he probably got better and better at making ambient, and so it took less time to make as years have gone by), then there would be a SAW every 2 years. Given this flawless logic, 2013/2014 should see the following ambient Aphex Twin releases:

SAW III

SAW IV

SAW V

SAW VI

SAW VII

SAW VIII

and possibly SAW IX

We already know that when he releases multiple series at once, he does a collection of vinyl series followed by a digital release and a "chosen" best of compilation, as is such with Analord, so we will most likely see these SAW releases via vinyl, then digital versions, then a "Chosen Saws" compilation.

Can't wait!

What if it's not genious but merely... "quite good" ?

Well, he's done the excessive digital editing.... the midi piano magic.... the analog gear revival

I think next is.. chemical reactions to various substances occurring naturally recorded on a 4 track

Looking back on releases like RDJ album with its bright sounds and childlike melodies (I believe Richard said he was in love at the time of recording), the mellow sounds of the SAW series, or the darkness of Come to Daddy, do you think his next album will be consistent in tone, or just a collection of tracks he's pulled from his (hopefully recent) library?

Look where he is now; in his 40s, divorced, a father, a millionaire, label owner and somewhat of a hermit. Will that be reflected in his tracks? I'd like to hear a sense of maturity in his future, ala BOC who are obviously at a different point in their lives than 2005. Of course, no one likes to fuck with their fans as much as Aphex, so who knows. He says he has all of these completed albums, but which one will he release?

Do you think he's putting pressure on himself to live up to the legacy he's created? I love the breakbeats on Rushup, and the acid of Analord but he's almost always about moving forward, so we all expect great things from him. Don't forget he's only human, and fallible just like the rest of us.

I'm sure we'll like anything new he does, but damn he's falling behind the rest of his label roster. When even BOC comes out of hiding, you know it's time to get in gear! Lol

What?

Well if it's a russian love story, that would be fab. he does nice melodies nicely.

wot? He does. /runs away crying at the meanies judging me for having an opinion that's vaguely fanboiish for once ever in the RDJ subforum.

I'm probably one of the only ones here that would be most excited if he did an album version of his remote controlled orchestra. Even if it was just on CD I would buy that shit in a second

yeah it will be like drukqs but played live with robots.
