they needed a putin with inside connections to the security services in russia to purge the thieving US sponsered oligarchs from the place. Now they have oil and gas revenues and have gotten out of dodgy mining contracts with western corporations and on and on. A lot of the economic development of russia can be down to his policies. Sure he murdered chechens through a false flag operation, to bolster his position politically, so that puts him on par with many modern western leaders then in that sense. At least when he speaks he's articulate and knowledgable about wide ranging issues, much more with it than your david camerons or obamas.

hmm, that's not completely retarded for a change. though i wouldn't say russian oligarchs were directly sponsored by the US, they were just seizing the opportunity of extreme liberalization, robbing russia's vast resources for their own gain. many people with the right connections and muscle could get very rich very fast in the 90s russia, it was pretty much anarchy.

"Vladimir Putin 'stole a $25,000 ring from New England Patriots owner' President Vladimir Putin stole a $25,000 (£16,000) ring from one of America's biggest sports tycoons, who was then pressured by George W. Bush's White House to say it was given as a gift, it has been claimed."

"What Mr. Kraft is saying now is weird," said Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. "I was standing 20 centimeters away from him and Mr. Putin and saw and heard how Mr. Kraft gave this ring as a gift."

I would hire this Dmitry guy as a spokesman in a heartbeat.

There are some good comments on HuffPo as always:

it's called propaganda - Putin stole The Patriots ring... get it? The Patriots, that's us, Americans, and he stole our ring, the symbol of our honor and victory. The proper reaction to this story is: "that damn KGB Ruskie, stealing our Patriots ring" - follow the program, react as expected Bo.

Even if Putin originally accepted the ring as a gift, it has become an embarrassment norw. I would have said Putin should return it, just to avoid the publicity, but the way Kraftvhas handled this, if Putin does return it, he comes out looking like a common criminal. Kraft should have been more tactful.

Robert Kraft must be a liar. He waited 8 years for this? If he really wanted it back, the State Department could have done this silently, rather than creating a diplomatic incident.

Is this an attempt to make Putin look like a POS after his comments on U.S. backing Syrian rebels?

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

i have very little opinion about Putin, although i can say that his balls seem to be pretty huge. I've been reading a lot about the fall of the Soviet Union lately and the start of how the Russian mob took over the basically wild-west economic/capitalism that took place there right after the collapse. It's pretty fascinating how many 'no-bid' style situations happened where some of the most powerful corporations were helped into a position by western powers to basically pillage the economy from the very outset of it

Meh, he's just jealous that his political image isn't fabulous.

Also, he probably pines for cocks, methinks he doth protest too much.

as far as I can see, Putin's Russia is a horrible place bereft of free speech and basic human rights, though the world is richer for his youtubes. Hope he loses his next bearfight.
