Support for new Bandcamp players

Bandcamp introduced some pretty sweet looking HTML5 players recently (see: http://blog.bandcamp.com/2013/06/12/all-new-players-up-twitter-too/), but as far as I can see, it doesn't really work here on the WATMMs. Any chance of adding support for these?

those players are pretty nifty.

I was trying to insert one of them in my idiotek blog for the new album, but I had to insert the old one because the new one didn't work, it didn't show neither the album cover nor the tracklist.

Ah got it - Had to tick the Enable HTML box on the bottom left

It only seems to appear after I've posted, and then hit the 'edit' button on that post. It then appears on the bottom left of the edit window on the line above the " 'Save Changes' 'Use Full Editor' or Cancel " buttons

 

I wonder if it's only a mods/admin permission at the moment...

Dang - I guess HTML tags in posts might be a bit of a security risk. On mine it's on the same line as the blur/grey bar with the resize handle on the edge on your first screenshot.

seems a prudent security feature, tbh.

 

oh well, that's that one nipped in the bud.

I can make a Bandcamp BBCode (I'll check if there's one already available) that utilizes the new player. Been meaning to update the SoundCloud default Media tag so it uses the HTML5 version versus the old clunky Flash version.

All you have to do is paste in the src portion of the html embed code BandCamp gives you, and specify whether you want the large or medium player (the bolded portion below):

The big one came out pretty wonky. Medium works well.

SoundCloud is now upgraded to use the HTML5 player by default!

Amazing!
