Been digging it a lot lately - another reason I love RDJ's SAW albums is that they were recorded to tape. I like hi-fi stuff too though, it's a mood thing I guess.

 

Who said tape can't be hi-fi? Autechre certainly didn't.

 

I agree, I'm someone who lusts over Nakamichis and Type IV metal cassette tapes.

I suppose I mean to say clean and digital is just fine with my ears too. A lot of tape is very hi-fi, to the point where I think it can be superior to a lot of digital recordings. I think many aren't aware the spectrum of quality and sound tape covers, though you clearly are.
