no fluoride + chlorine + trace metals and other impurities for me. I have 10L pureau water for home and buy their 2 L for work, no bpa in the packaging either. Nice sweet clean water.

Tap water just tastes vile, metallic etc.

Tap water is pretty rough, especially if you're in a hard water area. But it's free.

Until recently I was adding sliced fresh lemons to it to improve the taste, until my dad kindly informed me that would destroy the enamel on my teeth.

I'd buy bottled water all the time if I was a millionaire.

But I'm not, so I have to drink free tap water like a peasant.

Fuck this gay earth.

I buy a couple of bottles every month and then refill them with water straight from the tap. As others have said, unless you live in some third world country that stuff is just fine and won't kill you. Everything else is stupid and a waste of money.

If I was a millionaire I'd have ice chalices of fresh mountain spring water, brought to me on velvet cushions by weeping cherubs.

But that's just me.

yeah, i used to squeeze limes and lemons for my sparkling mineral water, cause i figured it was less sugar than juice and still a nice flavoursome fizzy treat. But came to the same conclusion in the end about acid degradation. Juice can be pretty acidic too though, -sie-.

People have been drinking juice since forever without losing their teeth. Drink away and ignore all that sily stuff.

yeah this is bullshit, unless you're living in some post-colonial third world shithole soon to be dominated by multinational corporations chances are your tap water is just fine

Not quite. You should filter your tap water even if it is "just fine".

why?

I get irrationally angry when I loose the bottle.

Me too, I like my bottles nice and tight ;p

BBC's The Foods that make Billions Episode 1 - Bottled Water. Interesting stuff. The stories of Perrier and Dasani in the UK are quite revealing.

Whilst practical in some respects, bottled water in countries that have their own quality controlled water supply is, in my opinion, unnecessary really.

"More energy is used to fill the bottles, move them by truck, train, ship, or air, refrigerate them and recover, recycle or discard the empty bottles. The Pacific Institute estimates that the total amount of energy embedded in the use of bottled water can be as high as the equivalent of filling a plastic bottle one quarter full with oil." (source)

Liquid Viagra?

If I had to choose it'd be Buxton. Then Malvern then probably Highland Spring. My tap water tastes quite bad so I don't fill bottles up with it and I don't want a Brita because it takes up beer room in the fridge. I especially like having it next to me when I wake in the night with a dry throat.

At work I just refill the same bottle from the tap over and over. It's an old Kirkland Signature(Costco) bottle and the label has literally rubbed down to pure white. Should really replace it.
