Well, old gear like the 2KXL is simple and limited. IMO limitations force creativity and make you do things you wouldn't do on, say, Maschine or whatever. That to me is where the charm and magic is.

fo real. with an mpc60 or sp-12 you had to be very creative, because you had so damn little sampling time.

I'm about to switch the floppy drive for a zip250 drive...
