Yeah that second one was to demonstrate the ways we eat and drink but fuck me if that doesn't just look creepy as fuck.

That is a beautiful gallery. I didn't know that Jimmy Carter included a statement like that. I knew about the music and pictures (being an old-school "Cosmos" fan back in the day), but that's pretty cool.

Blue print and dimentions to the planet and pictures of humans and which parts are edible. Just asking for Alf to come and eat us.

I found all of the photos in the album to be a little creepy for some reason... =/

I think the whole idea was to represent what humans are like, rather than just human anatomy.

That ice cream eating looks straight like dick eating to me. I guess this was the only way to show sex process to the Universe.

I'm surprised they were too conservative to show a diagram of the sex act itself. They show the genitals, and then the baby growth. There's a missing step.

sex jokes aside - i thought they were going to show more "urban" life - all they did was show some planes, trains and the UN building - UN building in the context of manhattan seems to me to be an important step in human existence. cities are our greatest invention!!?!?!?

i find it mindblowing that voyager has left the solar system and this stuff could now end up being discovered by another race of beings 1000000000000000000000000 light years from now.

I also think that's pretty mind-blowing. I hope it kinda freaks out the beings it approaches like the way the ship in that Arthur C. Clarke story I read in high school freaked out the human race; I think it was called "Rama" or something.
