alright, why do people wish to be confused for captain cornwall?

alright, i will consider myself schooled.

I just don't understand why it's a plus for someone to think someone else made your art. That's just icky to me. I mean, someone dedicates their life to making music and all that happens is they get mistaken for someone else. for dudes, its like your wife mistaking your kawk for her ex, who she liked more than you... and telling that to the newspaper.

I'm just joking, I was just trolling, in fact I have no idea what I was thinking when making up this joke thread. I thought it would be funny. Thanks for letting me experiment a bit with humor.

It was kind of obvious with the logical gymnastics you were presenting. But I'll just add something to artists always being mistaken for afx - it's been going on since afx first started releasing. Possibly because he would have multiple aliases with made up people behind the aliases (Bradley Strider). So I think a lot of people want to get wise before being fooled so they jump on anything sounding remotely like afx's brand and call 'first post' on the possible prank.

Personally I think the secretiveness of who's behind certain aliases to be pointless.

everyone's always in some state of being upset with me at all times, so nothing new there, the more the merrier, i mean upsettier. heheh.

I do see the point of alias subterfuge from the perspective of trying new things without the pressure of expectation. Some may find that it has a whiff of smugness about it, but that's not why i think it's at it's heart pretty silly. Who cares though, people who don't know something always get annoyed at being denied, it's a basic human thingoe.

with a series of aliases and a well manicured mythology you can increase revenue without the requirement of increased skill level and the pressure of disproportionate expectations from a fan base with tunnel vision

I don't see how revenue is being increased releasing incognito in limited batches, at least in contrast to overt big marketed new alias that's still a warp release workaround. It's probably more about the expectation thing and yes like you said, inadvertently adds to the mythology

incorrect. 0/10 theory.
