Kranky let out this tasty reissue of the Canadian musician’s ’04 offering ‘Mirages’. Melancholy and darkness abound in this unique piece of sonic abstraction - the full-length moves through waves of drone, death metal guitars and cracking digital static. A challenging work that merges an experimental approach with traditional, often romantic, songwriting.

As Mr. Hecker explains: "Mirages is the sound of the ruby-horned deer sharing sweet lies in the night."
