It feels like a mini christmas morning everytime I receive a "New Release from Aleksi Perala" Bandcamp email!!

I feel like this series is trying to wean me off of my addiction to physical media and make me think about the philosophical aspects of materialism and media consumption. I'm not sure it's working yet, but I really like the idea of musical "nodes" worldwide resonating in multiple forms, geophysical reverberations transcending the physical into the ethereal. I also like the idea that these nodes could serve as broadcast beacons, if my avatar is any indication...

Level 8 is an absolutely stunning release, track 4 is potentially a standout favourite of mine from the series so far. Also that last track doesn't go on long enough as I've had it on repeat a coupe of times already..

Hey y'all!! I'm so curious as how to come up with these tones.. i sat today for hours trying to understand the ratios.. I'm wondering how are you getting the harmonic relationships?? i can't stop thinking about this.. i have a kyma system and I'm doing the math but i can't find any pattern .. at least on the number series on colundi.net.. what is the significance of this scale on there and how does it all relate to permaculture in colundi approved techniques from colleague a.goldsworthy??

and this scale.. its so pleasing .. but how does one come up with it?

i intended this particular fb group *specifically for pledging colleagues* - to discuss node pledges, music, effects, events, plans, votes etc. we intend to establish a private bulletin board elsewhere but it's fb for now (sorry). the vendors require the node in question to be purchased by Fri 27th March so I'm wondering who's down regardless of the KS result? we need the 100 colleagues here for that and many don't use fb. in theory, we should have raised enough for it now.

 

I'm in regardless what the Kickstarter result will be, hope the other 100 backers will too.

 

And in other news: Level 8 is incredible. Couldn't get some of the melodies out of my head, even when I was at a gig listening to other music for hours...

Aye, I've wondered this as well. My understanding of kickstarter is that it's only funded, ie no money will be exchanged, unless the full amount is reached by the goal date. If $30,000 isn't reached, then what?

If I'm reading into this correctly, the deadline for the purchase of a plot of land is the 27th. So everyone that wants to back this -regardless of the Kickstarter being a succes- could give a heads up to Grant in that group, so he can maybe set up an adress to pledge / donate to (in a very short time period that is, but there is only about $3,000 needed iirc).

i'm not on fb and i probably won't ever be on fb but i'm in, too. maybe coordinate a place to donate and post it on the kickstarter updates page so all of the other non fb people know what they can do after the kickstarter?

Could they just change the target amount of the kickstarter?
