I think they are. There was an American show on years back, "Total Makeover" or something like that, and the extent of plastic surgery they would do on that was quite extensive, but in context of medical technology probably not the full extent of the ability of the surgeons. I can imagine people that committed to such change doing such dramatic re-sculpting of their faces.

This reminds me of the Asian fellow who married some lady had a kid and when the kid turned out ugly he was all 'wtf.' Turns out she had plastic surgery and I guess never told him? Freaky stuff though like many have mentioned, especially that songwriter.
