This album is rather good!

More and more I'm liking Beck.

I've always kinda held his old goofy stuff against him (e.g. Midnite Vultures) but his output has been solid for quite awhile now.

How did everyone feel about Charlotte Gainsbourg's "Hey Joe"?

This album is good!

I'm not sure it I like all of it yet but it's hard to say it isn't good. Morning sounds like golden age and guess I'm doing fine and a lot of other seachange vibes blended into one track. The rest of the album pretty much stands on its own as a seperate beck album. I'm liking the last couple of tracks alot ^^

Turn Away reminds me of a softer/better/Simon and garfunkel-y version of beck's chem trails.

At least half of The Information was good

I've recently warmed up to Modern Guilt

Nothing on the level of Sea Change, but at the very least you should give Guero a good chance

The Information is a great album.

Beck is one of those artists where I can trust he's going to make good music/write really great songs/arrangements. Even Modern Guilt (probably my least favorite) had some very well written tracks. Let's say it was the pre Internet days again, I'd pick up a beck album on tuesday and know its going to be great. (like when I bought Odelay or Midnight Vulures) Fuck, even the couple tracks I learned to play off song reader were catchy and really fun to play. Smart guy with great taste and talent IMO

Agreed, Guero is definitely worth a listen.

I bought and have enjoyed every thing he did since sea change. I like The Information more than sea change. I played the heck out of Guero. The only thing you need to know about Modern Guilt is Replica and Chemtrails -- worth the album price, and Gamma Ray is nice.

Maybe the Beck- Morning Phase will have a bonus version with remixes, and one by Aphex Twin, like back in 97

If you're a Sea Change fan, you should be really happy with this album. I've listened to it a good few times now and I think it's almost as good, and doesn't come across as an unnecessary sequel if you know what I mean.

I'm fucking dying in love with this album.

Blue Moon makes me aurgasm.

It almosts sounds as mutations-y as it does sea change-y. It sounds like beck and it is a good record I think ^^!

I had no idea about this album until this afternoon - hooray for Beck!

I used to be pretty into Beck but kinda stopped listening to him as much after The Information came out, not really sure exactly why even other then I just got distracted by discovering other stuff. I enjoy pretty much all his material I've heard. He's a great songwriter and his singles that came out last year were pretty fun. I should pick this one up and re-visit some of the older albums as well.
