Its filled with a lot of immature college aged males but most of the reviews are very well written and the list making portion of the site is great

edit: Also a LOT of post number elitism. Its not uncommon to see people with 20,000-50,000 posts

I use twitter and my rss reader to get feeds from various blogs/magazines (with a large emphasis in East Asian international relations, although other policy/IPE blogs are also consumed).

For music I'll listen to noonpacific on Mondays, trawl through the music blogs they're digging, and of course, for the finest in electronic music, watmm has always got one's back.

Also if you like sports writing, grantland is the place to go.

I go on here, check Facebook every couple of days and almost always regret it (apart from when random Nigerian men with hilariously shopped pictures try to add me), and occasionally find lolz in the comments pages on newspaper sites.

Apart from that it's what t'other half shows me that he's stumbled across in the internet's nether regions.

How has noone yet said - "I explore the internet with Internet Explorer" ?! #dadjokes

I don't now, it bores me. I feel kind of bad about this for some vague reason.

perusing my bookmarks isn't really exploring but i dig lists of good sites and they kind of fit here so i'll contribute:

to really answer the op though, the way i explore the internet is google images. searching in there for some term and looking through the results is usually entertaining and can lead to weird, amusing, and sometimes interesting sites
