Aside from a couple of songs, Gish is really generic compared to Siamese Dream. And yeah, Billy Corgan is the kind of guy who had issues before he was famous.

Billy's Bullshit ought to be the title of his next project, whatever it may be. it has a nice alliterative ring to it.

Some of those unreleased Zwan songs were fucking great. I feel like that was Billy's true last gasp.

Siamese Dream rules - did he lose his soul and talent over time, or was he just lucky when he made it? I never understand why awesome bands start to suck after a certain amount of time. Do they really lose something they had before? If it's an ageing and laziness thing, that makes me so sad

I think fame and ego made him second guess his musical direction and he also wasn't very good at picking the best songs for him to release. Why wasn't Aeroplane Flies High on Mellon Collie? Why weren't most of the songs on Machina II on the Machina album that actually got released in stores? That one was probably the fatal mistake.

There were some worthy songs on Oceana, but then some really "pop punk" sounding shit as well. Willy Corgan!

I think this is actually one of his best songs.
