I actually did the same thing. I thought I was going to purchase it but 18$ for shipping is ridiculous

maybe best to wait for a US distributor. Unfortunately this (almost $20) is how much it actually costs to send one single 12" record from the US to the UK at the moment, and maybe a little less from US to Canada. I

I'm a huge fan of his, and these samples seem to fit the vein of his com truise guise, but I would love to hear him branch out a little

Why is it so difficult for some record labels to put official information on their album pages? It mentions a ship date, but not an official release date. No catalog number. I can assume it'll be out around the 18th, but it's as much something I want to know now as something I may want to know in the future for this or other releases. They should treat their own site as the authority for any and all information about the albums they release. Aside from these two details, the page is good and at least provides a lot of details and the track list. It's not even close to the worst example, it's just a pet peeve of mine when I go to label websites. Spell it out, make it clear.

best to look out for it on Bleep i reckon, as they seem to have some sort of link-up with Ghostly. i'm hoping Bleep gets some of the Galactic Melt repress in stock... don't know how limited that one is. likewise, don't know if any of the 2000 copies of this one will make it over here.

yeah, i realise it's not just Ghostly price gouging. a few years ago ordering anything from the US below the customs duty threshold was very affordable, especially with favourable exchange rates, but at the moment it's definitely not feasible.

Bleep is a good shout (sadly). Will keep an eye on it. I tend to go with Norman for my purchases.

the black vinyl version should make it internationally, but I dunno about the purple pressing that's limited to 300

the Fairlight limited edition pressing was only 500, and that made it over here. got mine from Norman Records. also the original press of Galactic Melt was limited to 500 too…

To be sure though, of course I ordered directly from Ghostly (that shipping cost stings)

This is some great sounding stuff - I'll wait until it's on iTunes though.

try running a label and you'll learn quickly that keeping things according to a schedule is extremely difficult, probably one of the most difficult aspects of running a label
