Why did he release some tracks in some countries? That's weird.

Get the Step Into Liquid 12" and then the Japanese CD of Seapunk. Skip the UK/US version. I was hoping for the best with it but it fails in not even including the best track. I've got great faith in his future releases but the UK CD was a let down.

Been looking into purchasing the Japanese cd (digital version would be fine as well), but at first sight I can't find a shop to easily buy it from (from Europe). Japanese itunes and amazon don't seem to work without Japanese address (plus my credit card doesn't seem to be valid in Japan for some reason).

Any tips?

Once you get set up, it's just as easy as ordering from Amazon in your own country. I've ordered loads of stuff from Amazon JPN (including the Ultrademon CD), you can specify an international address and as long as your payment method is 'global', ie VISA/Mastercard credit card (NOT debit card) you're good to go. What card are you trying to use?

The times that I've had trouble ordering is when I've wanted to order something from a vendor through Amazon JP. I'm pretty sure they aren't allowed to ship internationally, or at least the ones that I was trying to get a used or new item from. Too many Japanese places I've come across don't export, but this link is a great help, thanks.

Worked like a charm indeed! Many thanks.

Also, the cd arrived within days. Nice! (Although shipping costs were high enough. Too bad the Amazon mp3 service doesn't seem to be available through this workaround for international buyers. But I'm happy).

The album takes a while to get into as many of the tracks start off kind of lame but then suddenly burst into some very interesting territories.

The only real weak points are Bahrain and spun. Those sound like really shitty French-house/electro tracks made by some random blogger in 2005 (but I guess that could actually be accurate?). Beached Marauder is okay but gets dragged down the toilet with Spun. Find Basis Faster and 1996 save the day.

Haven't really given the remixes a proper listen. Up to now, they've felt a little bit too bonusy to me (whereas the other two Japanese exclusives blend in flawlessly with the rest of the album).

Glad you got it sorted and your copy has arrived.

We're going to have to agree to disagree on Bahrain. My nostalgic spidey senses tingle every time when the 'Robin S - Show me love' Korg M1 feels kick in.

It actually took me a little while to get into Seapunk as an LP. It didn't seem to hit me as much as when the 12" landed, but over time and a few more listens, it (gun) clicked nicely. Certainly now, it is one of those albums that I'll press play on and happily listen from beginning to end. The bonus tracks on the JP version are the icing on an already pretty sweet seapunk cake.

:emotawesomepm9::music:

I've come full circle on this guy.

I like his music now. It's a nice break from "serious idmz".

Fun stuff.

Ultrademon is one of my favorite new artists. I haven't heard a track of his I dislike.

There will be new love from the ashes of us.

I think "yr own personal demon" off seapunk is my favorite.

Ravey acidy jump up goodness.

Something born out of a generation that gave birth to Bronies? Sorry, i drink a lot of espresso in the morning. Im usually not opinionated. the music is just OK. I think the difference between millennials and gen x is millennials are averse to cognitive dissonance. gen x had a very angsty vibe and you could here it in the music. sweet and sour. all that. hey, i dont know shit. i get ripped apart on the guardian message boards

Well didn't furries come from gen x? and bronies are kind of like an evolution of furries except even more pathetic. We (as in definitely not me) got it from you

PS PUMPED FOR THE NEW ALBUM!

(edit to correctly spell furries)

I will say, his take on hip-hop is pretty fucking snazzy. The lyrics are bizzaro, but that beat is ace.

I really disliked his music except for Step Into Liquid, but last week I was out chilling in the sun and really had a blast with Seapunk so I immediately bought the CD through discogs. Also saw the digital version for sale on juno (I think it was), that might be an option :)

It was this track that finally made me get into his stuff:

Just realized Ultrademon has changed his name on SoundCloud to Lily after uploading this track yesterday.
