Reality: It'll be mostly like right now, but maybe a little like a cross between Futurama and Bladerunner/DADOES? but without the aliens and people tubes and lifelike androids and FTL travel.

Hopes: It'll be like Alien and the xenomorph will get back to Earth and wipe nearly all of humanity off the planet.
