that's totally fine. I know you're probably joking but i'd rather someone transparently associate themselves with me for a reason like that rather than 'hey dude ,how's it going' and then like 2-3 weeks down the line start spamming me with links and then act butt hurt when i don't respond. There was this guy on facebook who goes by the name something Panda who kept sending me 'demos' in really annoying ways, he would keep posting stuff to his own wall and tagging me and msg me saying 'hey did you listen to that track i tagged you in' and I'd be like 'no, i told you to send me a demo to my email address' and because he couldn't follow a very simple set of instructions, he posted all this whiney shit about me on his status update and then defriended me. People are just fucking weird, and often times intolerable.

the level of entitlement is pretty astounding though, i think some fans think just because they can facebook chat a musician they admire or think they can get something out of or whatever, they think somehow automatically that they are deserving of your time and energy.

That would piss me off too, I'd probably get a bit paranoid about who was genuine and who was a bit more sneaky about the way they try and sidle up to you. How would you know? My mate was in a band that did well for a bit and he has the same. He's a bit of a prick to be honest but now nobody will tell him that - he posts the most offensive inane shit on Facebook and there's a hundred people to lol at.him.
