It's different if his phone accidentally went off but in the version I read it said the victim was texting so I was 100% on the side of the shooter. That's not even an attempt at a joke.

Gonna make an assumption and assume his is literally a clash of two types of people we could all do without. Idiotic hotheads with guns and idiots with no sense of courtesy or respect. I don't condone what occurred, and who knows exactly what occurred though, as of now. Entire situation sounds godawful.

 

I haven't been to a theater where that shit is even remotely tolerated in ages, the chain I go to, Alamo Drafthouse, has a very strict policy of one warning before they kick you out. The one time we had a heckler who was too loud we were given a gift card after lodging a complaint. It's a food service theater but it's worth the extra money.

This is just a byproduct of everyone being allowed to carry their guns on them everywhere they go, like it's the Wild West or some shit.

the only thing that drives me more insane than talking/texting is the sound of people eating during a movie. i can't win.

Actually it was only during the previews, so the shooting was unjustified.

when you go into a movie theater, and the movie is about to begin, there is an announcement that you should turn off your phone. clearly he didn't observe that rule so...

The shooter left the theater angry and came back in.

Murdering people in a theater is significantly more disruptive than texting,

Eating is the worse because the slime are too low of social awareness to even consider only eating during the loud bits, which hollywood dth provideth ina spades.

Kinda with Josh on this. Neither side is right in this, but I condemn the shooting more than I do the cell phone use.

I've never been to FL personally, but it doesn't sound like a pleasant state to live in from what I've heard.

This is my stance also.

If only there was an armed militia in the screen, they could have stopped this from happening....

Meh, a simple 'wanna take this outside' threat would have sufficed. Anyone who thinks someone with a phone in a movie theater deserves to be shot is plain fucking insane. I get the frustration, that's why I don't see movies in theater anymore, and I'm not surprised if by the off chance I happen to see a movie in theaters, there is a dick on their phone. I'm not going to end their life over it.

The amount of annoying people eating a three course meal and then a 5kg bag of doritos has always infuriated me. I've had arguments before but the powers that be won't allow me to wonder in with a gun so I've never had the chance. Moral of the story - don't go to the cinema unless you can be calm when it's full of cunts.

Moral of the story, don't go to the fucking cinema. Or .. let the plebs shoot each other. yay for one and all (that are left and aren't plebs).
