So if you watched the independent Spirit film awards, you got to see Patton Oswalt kill the audience with hot abrasive nerdy laughs and also he made reference to True Detective like 3 times, others made reference as well,,,,,,,at the end Oswalt came out dressed like Cohle holding a Big Hug Mug coffee cup and wished everyone a good night.

Made me feel good to be a geek freak.

Not really, it was more like a new start and the necessary mise en scene to follow up

i totally didn't buy Harrelson's reaction to that snuff video, the entire scene was kinda hmm.

the whole re-buddying felt somehow... hmm. dunno.

Obviously its's about Marty and Rust being "true detectives", who despite their past and current differences, still are good detectives and have a moral sense to see that the bad guys get caught. They started the investigation and feel compelled to finish it.

I actually felt Harrellson was doing a Nic Cage impression during that scene. But the 8mm scene was done better because it gave you a vague idea what was going on in the footage. This didn't. But it's such bad footage that Hart has decided to withhold his grudge and let bygones be bygones with Cohle. They bare each others souls to each other and rekindle the romance of '95. Diggin up the archives, back on the trail of the spaghetti man. Fine.

But please don't ask me to believe that anyone has played golf anywhere in the world against a guy with a gun attached to the back of his belt. I'm sure even pedophiles have some sense of self awareness when they're golfing against a PI who they know is on their trail.

well there's a scene in the second episode when he sees his girls arranging dolls in a manner similar to what was on the video.maybe marty connected the dots and freaked out.

a really weak episode considering now we have only one left.

ive been enjoying this program, but having had to watch it once a week, i cant remember shit about who anyone is 6 weeks later. im kind of just ambling along blind and wanking over hanks wife or whatever the fuck hes called.

so the beginning of Act 3 was not as good as the rest of the show but I still enjoyed the fuck out of it. Next week is gonna be a buck wild Kill List/Wicker Man style ending with the good guys making it out, or perhaps not but back on page 2 I called that shit:

Just watched this one again and it was much better on the second viewing.

They are gonna ring the fuck out of that sheriff, bastard child rapist.

The only thing that could ruin it is if the killer is literally Seth Rogen and James Franco.
