back in the late 90s in the golden Era of mp3.com I made over 150 dollars between streams, downloads and cdrs. The community their was booming and fan mail came frequently. after mp3.com went away I was more concerned with having my music available and heard than payed for and eventually started using creative commons. Now I basically make zero money for my music but had the honor of seeing my songs pop up all over the Internet in playlist, other people's videos for backing music, and recently a little Web game. I can die happy knowing my hard work was appreciated but I pretty much gave up on the idea of making money off of my tunes.
