1) What was your initial reaction upon hearing about the test-pressing? Excitement, scepticism?

2) What are you hoping for from the album itself?

1. skepticism, mostly because it was originally announced that the 4 copies of the album were made as test pressing (and all 4 copies were accounted for). i don't deny this pressings authenticity, but it's just a matter of "why say four when they're actually 5? or more?"

i like the fact that this is happening though. shows the potential of the internet and communities like this.

2. honestly: nothing. i think if it was great, richard would've released it

Don't know how u can expect nothing when u've probably heard other unreleased material from that period (melodies from mars, AB5) which are undoubtedly great pieces of work

The deadline was Thursday at midday, and the new issue was on sale Friday. I reckon it's in this week's issue already?

No mention of it in the issue dated 12th April, will likely be in next week's issue (if Joe can get sign-off on all the 'quite good' quotes).

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

NME is shitty pop rag which credible musicians would not wipe their arse with or piss on if it were on fire.

If you look at the acts who won NME awards you'll find Lilly Allen and Ed Sheeran. How rock n roll.

NME died after Brit Pop and became Smash Hits. I don't know anyone who has bought the rag since the 90's.

One of their pop fan journalists said Ae was for bald german men in anoraks who beat their tubesnake over the sound of a car alarm going off. NME are not in touch with music and it would be embarrassing to go into a shop and buy it. As embarrassing as it would be to buy a some porno mags from the local newsagents with a lot of little old ladies in the queue.

I've raised some valid points here. NME journalists listen to Kaiser Chief's and watch The Voice and X Factor to discover fresh new cutting edge talent. They gave Susan Boyle's album a 9/10 rating.

I thought it was just another ploy by the NeoHacker guild to disrupt the Cyber Government by disrupting the Crypto Music Sphere.

You can buy it digitally.

False dichotomy. I felt neither excitement nor scepticism, but a general feeling of awe, intrigue, longing and embarrassment. But I also felt both excitement and scepticism: in fact, it was excitement about my scepticism, followed by scepticism about my excitement.

An insight into my leaves of indigestion and pants.

If you'd prefer your real name, rather than your WATMM profile name, to run in the piece, please let me know what it is.
