LOL @ 15 unreleased albums - he said there were 6. How the internet inflates things...

And from those 6 there exist probably none (not properly compiled/finished anyway). How Aphex inflates things...

He was doing an heap of shows for ages, then stopped. It has been speculated that this was due to him being in album do mode. If this is the case, i'm sure you can forgive him for not wanted to go to detroit.

Album do mode? This is a guy who said he was sitting on ~15 unreleased albums in 2011...Basically if he doesn't want to play, I respect that and think he should only play if he wants to obviously. I'd love to see him live one day though, those future music festival videos looked incredible.

And it never comes back to bite him in the arse. Gives the speculation thread a cool ride though.

Too slow mofo ;-p Although yours was musically relevant, if not comprehensive with the punsploration. Feel the bite of my inflatable teeth, and burn of sliding down my unwatery plastic.

sorry i'm too inept and immobile for any more than just typing my offering.

This thread is so nectar it blows my mind

This is a harsh reminder of how many nectar points I would have accumulated by now if I could have been bothered to sign up for the Nectar card. Every time i'm in that store they're like ''Do you have a Nectar card?''

''No'' I reply. Vowing never to return.

I never signed up for one years ago because I don't like the shop itself and only buy stuff from there because it's local. But I must have spent thousands in that cesspool. Enough Nectar points to buy a couch in their spring sale no doubt. Not to dwell but I've missed out on a leather couch.

Don't forget how bad they make you feel for not having a card

definitely would

(them legs)

Ha, yeah, which is actually more encouragement to shun them completely and walk the extra half mile to Aldi.

They call it Nectar points because they think they are attracting bees (consumers) to their honey pot but it's up to the public themselves to shun them and in turn cattle-prod them into being open an honest about how they are harvesting the pollen (sourcing their food from). This company is very opaque.

This threads gone amber nectar.

I think festivals should chill on trying to book AFX and book Pierre Bastien instead. His live set was the best audio/video experience I've ever seen. His music is great, but seeing him live with his machines and his tiny cameras showing his machines at work is a whole other experience.

Pretty sure he was joking about the album thing. I mean seriously, who says "Oh yeah, I have X amount of albums done.". Who refers to their stuff as albums? I think he's just poking fun at the interviewer asking him about albums.

Also, I don't think I'd ever pay to see him live. I don't care for pretty much any of the other music he seems to play at these gigs, except the occasional random song... always by underground resistance it seems.

? well i was wrong but you're more wrong. in 2006 he said he had 6, in 2011 he said 10 or 11, how many do you think he has now, 3 years later?

Do you honestly think any of those numbers are anything more than hyperbole? I highly doubt Richard has "albums" any more than BOC has pre-Twoism releases... they are just loose collections of tracks that *could* be pulled together to make an album, but in their current state probably aren't.

What would his incentive be to lie about that?
