EDM became big in the USA from the Euro trance scene (not goa/psy; but post-club), because Amurkah has the most widespread pop-culture that emulates the ideals of modern clubbing music. And that is: looking good, dressing well, having money, doing good drugs, high priority of sexuality, and being awfully superficial. Other countries try to emulate this, but their teeth aren't white enough; their bodies aren't rippling with steroid muscle enough; their education is too high; their distance from the poor is not far enough. Like in Cairo I've been to millionaire parties with plastic surgery women and people who are superficial as fuck in multi-million dollar apartments, but then you go outside, and the fantasy is over cuz the streets are full of trash and poor people. But you go to these parties in places in Los Angeles, and you could drive around and not see a middle class person for at least 30 minutes. Nice places around L.A. are so fucking full of superficial lifestyle, that it is no mystery that EDM shit is huge there. Cuz it's all about being awesome everyday, constantly chasing the most epic drugged out night of your life; cuz you are young and invincible and *BASS DROP* fucking OH FUuuUUuUUUCK!!!!!

Modern EDM scenes are like dayz of rave, with a hint of arrogance and ignorant elitism. Like who the fuck in 1992 went to a warehouse rave in a Lamborghini? Fucking nobody.
