Ugly Boy

I like some DA, love a couple videos. But I wish I could un-hear that. That's literally one of the first Aphex tracks I ever heard. The Miami bass influence on it put me at ease back when I was discovering British electronic musc, but that melody was supposed to be etched in my mind as it is, untouched forever. Oh well, hope it influences some kids to hear saw.

I fear Donker Mag could be a sign of decline for them. Some of it's just too trashy for me, where the other parts just lack substance or emotion. I dunno.

Yeah, I don't associate avril 14th with that kayne song so I'm not worried, probably just an overreaction because I love ageispolosis a so much.

Yeah. The sound design is lush as fuck but the lyrics are a little too explicit/trashy for me.

I've liked some of their videos, in a fun kind of pop way. But I could only listen to about fifteen seconds of this, if someone is gonna rap over Aegispolis they need to bring the flow. Funny thing is that it really might work with a different rapper on the mic. But I think it'd have to be a really spacy vibe, not all gangster. If this is really not a joke, wow.

Awful. I mean they toured with the guy, but they couldn't do anything more with him than add some bland beat over an existing song? REALLY? What's new? I guess it pans sometimes. They were given the chance to work with RDJ and they blew it. Well I guess not really. They still get ca$h.

Well yes, according to what he said in Polish interview they wanted to do the whole album with him but he said only one song maybe, so they tried some motivational tricks on him but it didn't work and eventually he told them to fuck off and die.

Of course it's cool and groovy and gangsta... but that doesn't make make me think it's memorable, timeless or extraordinary in any way. Enter the Ninja, imo was way better for the sole fact that it was original production, and not using classic electronic music as samples.

Of course the hook would be just singing along to the same notes as the aphex twin sample.. kinda bummed that they didn't at least try to do something a little more inspired. You could take anything by rdj or anyone like daft punk, etc and sample it over dope beats and you'll have something crazy and dope... *cough almost every mainstream hip hop/pop track that becomes a hit*

So let's talk samples!

Besides the very minor part Ageispolis plays in the track, the rest of everything is apparently from the Fruity Loops Kicks 01 folder, and what sounds like some sort of Vanilla Ice vocal sample here and there.

The worst thing is just that you know they're both much more capable than this. Average AFX + earlier Die Antwoord would have made a decent combination. Instead this is a track that is just boring.

but lil b's freestyle works, if you think about it. it's positive, you can tell he's feeling it, he must listen to Plaid and I respect that. Plaid is good. the track is Marry by Plaid btw
