That transition at 4.00 - 4.55 is as lush as the day is long. I could listen to that on repeat until the birds start tweetin at 4 am. He's fading in what sounds like an 80's track, not sure what it is, then slows the vocal down for the remaining beats of ''manchester track''. It works brilliantly.

do you really think so? to me the vocals sound like a part of the track, doesn't sound like any 'mixing' between two tracks is taking place, just a lot of knob turns and effects, and the vocals are just another part of it. don't know how he'd get them though.

insane track in any case

Yeah, the vocal thing was going on early in the track, just the way it was mixed bad in at 4:10 gave me the impression that Twin had brought the vocals back to their rightful home in the 80's track :-D

I love this too. This could be unreleased Squarepusher for all we know tho.

Yeah, this one seems to be the most overlooked of his (I'm assuming) live stuff, reallllllly fuckin' good though. Love the mangled bass that comes in.

Holy Crap that bass sounds amazing in that second recording. It could just be a recording artifact, but when it masks those upper frequencies, it just sounds awesome.

this HAS to be on the new release otherwise I'm going to cri

oh yeah, the quality is tons better in that one! Those delicious formant-y sounds are uh... delicious. The bass thing was an artifact in the previous video! Good, that means I have an idea.

To be honest I put Metz Track over the Singapore track.

yeah Metz for me as well. I'd love all these tracks to be released, they sound absolutely amazing.

25 minutes into this there's some more good FM. Sounds more like Squarepusher, though.

No love for the other unreleased track... Minehead, ATP, 2007? Its the same style as Metz/Manchester but rarely gets mentioned

At 26mins here...http://www.mixcloud.com/keyfumbler/aphex-twin-minehead-atp-2007/

I've got a copy of that one. I love them all, but I also enjoy arguing about how good each is.

There will be new love from the ashes of us.

So that Singapore track is running through my head all day now, I even stopped in the middle of watching a movie just to play these youtube videos a few times. Proper RDJ magic on that track, unbelievable.

Nah, Manchester has that beat (IMO) - the end bit sounds a bit like it was transitioning into a Mike P song (can't remember which) off Bilious Paths...

Metz > Manchester > Singapore.

I love the drum mangling he does live to the manchester track in some of the vids. So raw and brain-scratchingly good. Those vocals over the haunting reverbed piano-like sound is so pretty. That melody is heart-wrenching even though its just Rich going 'lie de day de duuuummmm'
