Probably wouldn't have hurt to have had a listen to the album.

@aces

yeh

i somehow managed to never get around to that even tho i owned maybe 3 copies and was aware of obscure things such as the 8track version having a different version of pigs on the wing

i'll go have that first listen

but i think my point still stands a bit because if he just tucked something about himself in one of those bookend tracks which are the least interesting things on the album, without going into any real detail about his own flaws, and yet in the main 3 tracks its just pure criticism of seemingly every person alive, that's a bit arrogant. everyone has those tendencies to say things about most people being sheep or whatever, but they made an entire album out of it. i'm pretty sure there are plenty of people who don't neatly fall into either of those 3 categories and are actually somewhat decent and thoughtful people.

or ya know, i could just condense what im saying down to:

pink floyd- made an album judging the human race

i may be prone to make statements judging the human race from time to time (knowing those kinds of statements are vast oversimplifications at best) but i wouldnt be ballsy/arrogant enough to make an album based on that

To be honest. While I respect your opinion on the album, I do not agree.

Thanks user487363530. And user4873635301. Now 48736353001.

Well, it sounds like Pink Floyd, or is it Gilmour that has that sound. Wasn't as horrible as I expected. I wonder what the instrumental tracks will be like.

TDR would have been a better choice

Lol. Seriously? TDR are the absolute polar opposite of the album covers produced by Hipgnosis and Storm Thorgerson.

would probably sound pretty good at 50% speed

This album sounds like fucking stock music so far. Listening to the previews actually makes me cringe a little.

Either way, I'm still gonna check it out, even though I haven't LOVED a Floyd album since The Wall. Everything since then has been kinda 'hit and miss' for me.
