Anyone here ever thought about an online streaming WATMM Radio?

Hi yeah i mentioned about mixlr earlier as an option, the only issue with that one is its only from one account alhough we could sharee out the log in but its definatly a option.

imo the phrase 'time specific' is key and is what i was thinking. and again maybe it's too ambitious for doing right at the beginning, but even if the shows are pre-recorded/edited, having a specific broadcast time, i think would make them seem more special, compared to it being a thing you can play whenever. you'd actually have to tune in. due to watmmrs being all around the world, and the fact that doing an actual 'show' of some kind takes more effort, it might make sense to have it repeat a few times so everyone has a chance to hear it. maybe have an archive of past shows so people who missed could catch up at any time, but having the initial broadcast be time specific seems important to me. just my imo

All good ideas so far. I'm up for contributing shows since I want to get my DJ skills going.. and also maybe some recordings/broadcasts of listening nights with commentary lol

Any suggestions on the tech side of things?

i think we should have chatmm radio where we all get on mics and do a talk show together.

Joyrex: you may recall I hosted a shoutcast station for watmm like 10-12 years ago or something :)

 

happy to host one again if you want... or another streaming technology. ping me. if you've already got a VPS happy to assist you to get something running on your own infrastructure too.

I DO have a VPS - yes, let's look into this!

I would really really love this. and I would love to contribute also!!

Would love to have an all jungle thing for like 2 hrs with me talking in between about track info and compromising situations

If this ever got going, I'd LOVE to do a show/slot

I definitely have tracks i can contribute to this

they kicked me off college radio because i didn't play enough Can-con & spent too much time talking about bananas, would luv 2 be a radio again

So what is left to do here? Set up a shout cast icecast or other freecast program and organise some schedules for shows

 

I'm keen to jump on board as a DJ / host

 

I had a go at setting up a cast but I don't have the knowledge.

Would love to make bumpers! :) or small fake commercials. Could also have sexy female voice actress do some "spots" or "drops". I have tracks of course but i think everybody got those.
