Happy Ambient Music

Enjoying some time off of work with the birth of my second child. I've been listening to a lot of ambient music. Most of it is really beautiful but really depressing. What's some good beautiful ambient albums that won't make my wife want to kill herself? Thanks in advance!

I've always found the City In Flames tunes by Tim Hecker pretty upbeat, although the title might suggest otherwise

Congrats. I don't know about "happy" ambient music, but these are definitely the least melancholy ambient albums I have. Pretty sunny/blissed out.

Asuna + Opitope - Sunroom

Opitope - Hau

Chihei Hatakeyama - Minima Moralia

Jefre Cantu-Ledesma - Conversations With Myself

Iasos - Inter-Dimensional Music

this track is true masterpiece

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3367970/1_-_Minit_-_Now_Right_Here.mp3

edit: it's "Minit - Now Right Here"

full of energy, it's refreshing, it lasts 20minutes with a one note rising with a surprise at middle track i can't tell

also i made one that is positive and gives me some happiness

last track off polygon window

probably at least one or two things off rifts given the sheer volume of material, but off the top of my head it's all sounding like spooky gameboy music & the panpipes of melancholy

i love Stars Of The Lid, but it's off topic,

to me it's a bit dark and melancholic, not "happy"

but it's amazing of course

2003 is one of my favorites in the series. Quite a few solid tracks relevant to the topic for sure.

Some that illicit pleasant contentedness and exhilaration, perhaps using the term "ambient" loosely: ...

Despite the name, this track is v. blissful.

Perhaps this could still be melancholic to some, but it's uplifting for me

Guest bitroast

it's for hard for me to think of happy ambient music. normally levitate toward more 'feel'/emo oriented ambient tunes.

Tons of ambient mixes of trance tunes.

Just search for Airwave, Bonzai, Jan Johnston, Solarstone, oliver lieb, Lost Language, Art of Trance etc.... It should unearth plenty of great material.
