I was at the Rainbow/Custard Factory for the Quaristice show. I described it at the time much like I would describe it now in hindsight; the closest thing I'll ever have to a religious experience. No substances, just a bottle of beer to loosen up beforehand and I was fuckin' gooooone.

Im worried I'll never get to see them again here in the U.S….I have dual citizenship in the UK…would be a good enough reason to move to england wouldn't it.

Weren't there rumors about a VHS Head & Autechre tour a while ago? If so, I'd go apeshit over that.

All this live talk had me reminiscing, so I dug out and upped the recording I had of the 'chre's set from the Birmingham night of the Oversteps tour back in 2010. Soundboard? You fucking wish, pal - you don't get bonus coked-up shouty banter peppered throughout with a soundboard (but the recording is 'quite good' enough). It doesn't even come close to conveying the bass assault on the night... but I guess you have to be there to get your brain mushed properly, which some of us will hopefully be experiencing in the coming months...
