London Syro Listening Event - 05/09/14, 8pm

Thought it'd be worth having a thread for the London listening event; meetups, any info on location etc.

Seems that replies to the RSVPs are now being sent out, keep an eye out.

Nice, this will be helpful for towners and out-of-towners alike!

Warp have confirmed on Facebook that the venue is The Laundry in E8. They say doors at 8pm but the RSVP email says 8:30pm, playback at 9pm

I was somehow picked in the email lottery but the address in the email is some random house in a residential street in chiswick.

Assuming that's a mistake?

Thanks for the heads up Lawrenke. I did catch that from the FB message, but it's heart-warming to know people take the time out of their day for messages such as yours. I'm a wee bit excited about tomorrow and bizarrely a bit nervous

I didn't receive any mails with the venue mentioned, only confirmation that I've been added to the guestlist.

So Mr Donervan, I'm probably meeting up with EnceyM beforehand, will you be going for pintage? If so, wanna meet up?

I think I'll be cutting it fine for getting there... my game plan:

- I'm getting the train into London to arrive about 6ish

- Haul ass across the city to check into my hotel

- 25min walk to the Laundry

I can't guarantee my timing and am completely at the mercy of the rush hour... But if you've got a pub in mind nearby to the Laundry, I could aim for that? Drop me a PM with details.

OK, well I don't know the area so i'm hoping EnceyM will get back to me with a good location. I'm training it up from Southampton myself after finishing work at 4, but then I don't have a hotel booked as will travel back that night by train. I'll send you a PM later. Regardless of whether you have time to meet for pint, it would be nice to meet some fellow WATMMERS at the event.

For sure - just remember that none of us will have our phones on us once we're in the venue, might have to fashion an airport pickup card with 'WATMM' and hold it up, lol

There's a brewery just in front of the venue and broadway market is very near and has lots of cafés and pubs.
